Part time Chef - £15.40 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and serve meals for residents and others, ensuring timeliness.
  • Provide a varied diet, catering for cultural preferences and dietary needs.
  • Plan and cater for celebrations and events.
  • Order supplies within the catering budget and company policy, using approved suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate catering records in accordance with HACCP.
  • Participate in inspections by Environmental Health, care regulators, and Local Authorities.
  • Maintain a high standard of kitchen hygiene, adhering to HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
  • Assist in creating a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring Health & Safety and Welfare compliance.
  • Manage the Catering Team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience in meal preparation for care homes or healthcare settings (preferred).
  • Knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, Health & Safety and Welfare standards.
  • Ability to manage a small catering team.
  • Friendly, compassionate, and caring approach to residents and families.
