Shaw healthcare is looking for a Nurse to join the team at Maitland Park. We are committed to delivering high-quality care and to using the latest care technology to spend more time with service users. Maitland Park has an excellent reputation as a valued provider of care with the needs of service users at the centre of all we do.

With its charming accommodation, Maitland Park, situated in Camden, is purpose built for care. We are registered for up to 60 residents (20 Nursing), all of whom receive a detailed care plan tailored to their specific needs.

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Home Nurse to provide high-quality care to elderly service users with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s or other clinical diagnoses. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of care professionals to ensure the best possible care for our service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing patients' health and care needs and developing care plans
  • Administering medication and monitoring service users’ responses
  • Providing nursing care, including wound care and palliative care
  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals to coordinate personalised care
  • Supporting service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Providing emotional support to service users and their families
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Working within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Participating in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members

Qualifications And Experience

  • NMC registered nurse
  • Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related conditions
  • Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
