Shaw healthcare is looking for an Activities Champion to join the team in Maes-Y-Wennol. You will join a team that is fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those who we provide care for. Our aim is to deliver the highest standard of care to our service users and to provide the same standard of care that we would expect our own family members to receive. You will be using the latest care technology that will enable you to spend more time with the service users that you care for. Maes-Y-Wennol has an excellent reputation as a highly valued provider of care. The needs of our service users are at the centre of all we do every single day.
Responsibilities:
- To formulate an activity profile for each individual service user through liaison with care staff.
- To ensure the safe and proper use of all equipment.
- To maintain accurate and legible records in respect of service users’ activities.
- To liaise with the senior nurse on duty with regard to outings.
- To research all prospective outings in respect of access and toileting facilities.
- To liaise with senior care assistants in respect of relative medical or nursing care information regarding service users.
