Salary: £12.60 per hour

Hours: 30hrs per week

Shift Times: Day shifts on a 4 weekly rota between 8am-5pm, requirement to work alternate weekends

Shaw Healthcare is looking for a Domestic Assistant who is ready to make a positive impact at Deerswood Lodge, a care home in Crawley, West Sussex, offering 90 residential places. The facility specialises in dementia, residential, and respite care, providing a safe and supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize rooms including furnishings in assigned work areas
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness of the service and laundry, causing minimal disruption to our service users and their care
• Demonstrate effective communication and engagement with service users, their families and colleagues; good interpersonal and working relationship skills are essential
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Use a variety of cleaning products, paying particular attention to COSHH regulated products
• Ability to work on your own initiative and maintain a high level of hygiene within the home
