Shaw healthcare are recruiting a Clinical Deputy Manager for Maes-Y-Dderwen Care Home in Tredegar to deliver a quality of care and support to our service users in line with our care principles of "wellness, happiness, and kindness". We work together to ensure the physical, social, psychological, and emotional needs of our service users are met.

Location: Maes-y-Dderwen - Shaw healthcare, Charles St, Tredegar NP22 4AF

Salary: £23.48 per hour

Hours: 37.5 hours (19.5 deputy manager and 18 hours Nurse on floor)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Good working knowledge of CIW standards and the Health and Social Act 2008
  • Developing and implementing evidence‑based individualized care packages, therapeutic interventions, and activity programmes
  • Leading and supervising the support and nursing teams to deliver the highest standards of person‑centred care using clinical governance and personal development
  • Managing sickness, staff training and development, coaching and mentoring, and communicating effectively with the team
  • Communicating and engaging effectively with service users, their families, and colleagues, possessing strong interpersonal skills
  • Understanding the disabilities, health, and social care needs of service users and assisting those with mobility or continence needs using appropriate aids and equipment
  • Providing appropriate levels of care and support to ensure personal hygiene needs are met (washing, dressing, bathing, toileting)
  • Being Health and Safety aware to ensure the safety of service users and colleagues

The Ideal Candidate:

  • NMC Pin
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager
  • A strong knowledge of person‑centred care
  • Working closely with each resident, assessing their needs and delivering a care plan that helps each person live a fuller life
  • Delivering the very best levels of care, ensuring procedures are carried out to the highest standard and optimizing the wellbeing of every resident
