£13.65 per hour. Surehaven Glasgow was established in 2010 and is registered with Healthcare Improvement Scotland as an Independent Low Secure Mental Health Hospital. We can accommodate up to twenty one patients aged between 18 to 65 with a primary diagnosis of mental illness, some of whom are liable to be detained under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Scotland Act 2003 and can have forensic backgrounds. You will work under the direction of the Chef to work together as a Catering Team to ensure that delicious home cooked meals are prepared and served to our patients.

Duties Include:

  • Assist chef with food preparation
  • Independently prepare hot meals/sandwiches for residents
  • Load and unload dishwasher, wash up equipment unsuitable for dishwasher
  • Clean kitchen and equipment
  • Collect and distribute crockery from/to the care floors
  • Clear tea trolleys where applicable
  • Empty kitchen rubbish and keep areas clear of refuse
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Carry out reasonable requests, as instructed by the Senior Chef/Chef
  • Ensure that the nutritional needs of residents are met
  • Ensure compliance with the Health
