Bank Residential Team Leader – Burleys Wood

Salary: £14.66-£15.30 per hour

Hours: Bank – Zero hours

Shift Times: As/when needed – 12hr shifts (07:45-20:15 or 20:00-08:00)

Shaw Healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Bank Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at Burleys Wood, a modern 60 en-suite bedroom care home located in the quiet residential suburb of Furnace Green just outside Crawley town centre. The purpose‑built service provides residential and nursing care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice.
  • Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures.
  • Report changes in residents\’ needs or well‑being promptly to the Line Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date care plans and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with older people in residential care.
  • Completion or progress towards an NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Flexibility, patience, caring, organisational skills and a people‑focused attitude.
  • Ability to lead a team and use own initiative.
