Overview
Shaw healthcare is looking for a Team Leader to join the team at Brynhyfryd. You will join a team that is fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those who we provide care for. Our aim is to deliver the highest standard of care to our service users and to provide the same standard of care that we would expect our own family members to receive. You will be using the latest care technology that will enable you to spend more time with the service users you care for. Brynhyfryd has an excellent reputation as a highly valued provider of care. Base pay range and recognition
Salary: £14.38 per hour. Shaw healthcare is a Real Living Wage Employer and the UK’s largest employee-owned healthcare company. In recognition of your contribution to the care that our service users need, we are committed to ensuring salary is significantly more than the Government National Minimum Wage. This range is provided by Shaw healthcare (Group) Ltd. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities
As a Team Leader, you’ll have previous experience working with older people in residential care. You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people. You will have strong communication skills both verbally and in writing and also will have completed or working towards your QCF 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
It will be your responsibility to build strong relationships with all those around you, ensuring family and friends feel welcomed, that health care professionals are kept well-informed, and that your Line Manager is kept up to speed with residents’ needs and progress. You are a team player, you can follow guidelines and policies easily, and you will have good written skills to write up care plans.
Training and progression
We will provide you with full training. This includes our leadership programme which can support your development and opportunities for progression within Shaw.
Qualifications
- Experience with older people in residential care.
- Flexible, patient, caring, organised, and good with people.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- QCF 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or currently working towards it.
