Sycamore Lodge in Nailsea is seeking a Driver to join our team. The role involves providing high-quality transportation for employees and service users, maintaining vehicle safety and reporting any incidents or vehicle defects.
Responsibilities
- Provide transportation for employees and service users of the service.
- To provide a high-quality service.
- To welcome and be courteous to all who use the service.
- Ensure the safety of passengers and the vehicle.
- To collect and deliver employees at the agreed times and locations; you may also be asked to collect items for residents.
- To ensure that at all times the vehicle is safe and roadworthy, and to immediately report any defects to the Manager.
- To undertake daily vehicle safety checks, including lights, tyre condition and pressure, oil and coolant levels, seat belts, washers and wipers.
- To always drive safely, observing all traffic and speed regulations.
- To report any matters of concern to the Manager regarding the vehicle, including wear and tear.
- To promptly report any accidents, adverse incidents or observations of injury, and report any incidents or accidents related to vehicle use to the Manager.
- To understand your role by implementing Shaw policies and Best Practice guidelines.
Salary £13.45 per hour. Working Hours Bank (zero-hour contract). Shift times include 06:00–10:00 and 17:30–21:30.
