Bank Cook in Care Home – £16.74 per hour. Contract: Bank, zero hours. Working hours: As/when needed, day shifts 8:00‑18:30.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and serve meals for residents and others as required, in a timely manner.
- Provide a varied diet, catering for the cultural preferences of those who use our services.
- Cater for celebrations and other events in the home.
- Order supplies within the catering budget and company policy guidelines, using approved suppliers in the absence of the senior cook.
- Maintain accurate catering records in accordance with HACCP.
- Participate in inspections by Environmental Health and/or care regulators and Local Authorities.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene within the kitchen by adhering to HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and Welfare.
- Ability to manage the Catering Team.
About the Team
You will liaise with the Home Manager, Nutritional Therapist and staff to ensure high‑quality, home‑cooked food is provided every day and establish a rapport with residents and their families to satisfy their dietary needs.
