We are looking for a Bank Chef to join our team at Maes-Y-Dderwen. You will work with a dedicated team committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our residents. Our goal is to deliver the highest standard of care, treating our residents as we would our own family members. Maes-Y-Dderwen is a highly regarded care provider, with residents' needs at the heart of all we do.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Home Manager, Nutritional Therapist, and staff to provide high-quality, fresh, home-cooked meals daily.
  • Establish rapport with residents and their families to meet dietary needs and preferences.
  • Prepare, cook, and serve meals in a timely manner.
  • Cater to cultural dietary preferences and special occasions.
  • Order supplies within budget and company guidelines, using approved suppliers when the senior cook is unavailable.
  • Maintain accurate catering records in line with HACCP standards.
  • Participate in inspections by Environmental Health, care regulators, and Local Authorities.
  • Ensure high hygiene standards in the kitchen by following HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
  • Support a safe and healthy working environment by adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
