- Salary: £13.60 per hour
- Hours: Bank - Zero hours
- Shift Times: As/when needed in the service - shifts vary between 8am-6pm
Shaw healthcare is looking for a Bank Catering Assistant who is ready to make a positive impact at New Elmcroft, a 60 en-suite bedded care home located in a quiet residential setting in Shoreham by Sea, close to Brighton and Worthing. The facility specialises in nursing, dementia, residential, and respite care, providing a safe and supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities
You will work under the direction of the Cook to work together as a Catering Team to ensure that delicious home cooked meals are prepared and services to the Residents. This will include, but not limited to:
- Assist chef with food preparation
- Independently prepare hot meals/sandwiches for residents
- Load and unload dishwasher, wash up equipment unsuitable for dishwasher
- Clean kitchen and equipment
- Collect and distribute crockery from/to the care floors
- Clear tea trolleys where applicable
- Empty kitchen rubbish and keep areas clear of refuse
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment
- Carry out reasonable requests, as instructed by the Senior Chef/Chef
- Ensure that the nutritional needs of residents are met
- Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy and Regulations
