To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for an Audit Senior Manager to join our growing Audit team. This is a full-time permanent position that will be based in our Winchester office. The role will also offer hybrid (three days in the office and up to two days working at home) and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle).
The Role
- Develop and apply your technical and commercial knowledge to provide expert advice and exceed client expectations.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and becoming their primary point of contact. Your portfolio will consist of both new and established clients and you will be encouraged to develop further revenue streams within it as well as helping to bring in new clients to the firm.
- Responding to ad hoc client queries.
- Lead and manage audit assignments to completion, manage people and delivery of the assignment, budgets, billing recovery and client engagement and satisfaction.
- Provide support on tenders, proposals and other business development activities to promote Shaw Gibbs and develop your profile externally.
- Contribute to the management of the audit team, audit procedures and, more widely, to the whole compliance team.
- Line manage a small number of more junior team members.
- Consider technical audit and accounting developments and provide training to ensure the team are updated so that high standards are maintained.

About You
We would like to hear from you if you are fully ACA or ACCA qualified and have a minimum of 3 years post-qualified UK audit practice experience, from either a medium sized or mid-tier firm. You will also have the following:
- At least 6 years’ UK practice experience.
- Previous experience operating at a manager level.
- Proven experience of producing high quality audits.
- Aptitude to assist with business development activities.
- Strong self-starter with a commercial approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and client management skills.
