We are recruiting a Corporate Tax Manager to join our growing Winchester Tax team. This is a permanent, part or full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options.

The Role

  • Working with tax partners to support clients with a range of tax advisory work including restructures, management buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, tax due diligence, capital allowance claims, research and development claims, demergers and succession planning, tax accounting, seeking relevant clearances, etc.
  • Involvement in bespoke advisory work including the wider tax implications for the company owners.
  • Reviewing corporation tax computations prepared by the accounts team covering a wide variety of clients including trading companies, non-resident landlords, overseas companies managed and controlled from the UK, UK subsidiaries of larger overseas groups, investment companies, etc.
  • Preparing corporation tax computations for our most complex clients.
  • Managing key compliance projects, such as filing ATED returns and relief declarations.
  • Assisting with the training of less experienced members of the team.
  • Involvement in potential new client meetings, being part of the team to bring them on board and support the ongoing relationship.
  • Ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard, on time and within budgets.
  • Drafting reports and advisory letters for clients.

About You

We would like to hear from you if you have a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified UK tax practice experience. We are also looking for:

  • CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Qualification by experience will be considered.
  • Strong client relationship and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • A positive, confident and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality output.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Enjoy working as part of a corporate tax and advisory team.
  • Demonstrate good judgement of risk and be commercially minded.
