The Shaw Gibbs Group has several offices in Central and Southern England and have ambitious plans to expand our business. To support our growth plans, we have an opportunity for an Audit/Accounts Assistant (placement student) to join our Guildford team. This is a full-time, fixed term role for 12 months.
Requirements
About you
- Predicted 2.2 degree or higher in any discipline.
- Preferably 5 GCSEs or equivalent to include Mathematics minimum grade 6 (B) and English Language minimum grade 4/5 (C).
- Educated to ‘A’ Level (minimum 120 UCAS points from top 3 A levels excluding General Studies).
- Experience of MS Office products, in particular competence in Word and Excel.
Skills and Personal Qualities:
- Professional attitude when dealing with clients.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to form good relationships with staff and clients.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate work.
- Ability to plan and organise tasks/priorities and effectively meet deadlines.
- Self-motivation and uses initiative appropriately to resolve problems.
- The ability to work flexibly, with willingness to travel to client sites and the Firm’s other office in London if required.
