To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Junior Learning & Development Advisor to join our busy and dynamic People & Culture team. This is a permanent, full-time role based in either our Basingstoke or Farnham office.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Talent Management, as Talent Management Advisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality learning and development across the business. You’ll combine excellent organisation, attention to detail, people skills, and a passion for development, to help us grow capability, support our trainees, and create a learning culture everyone can thrive in. You will work closely with your Talent Management and People & Culture colleagues, ensuring accurate, proficient, and comprehensive day to day running of the Talent Management Function across various training solutions and the employee lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Opportunity to be exposed to senior leaders and to co-ordinate and manage varied Talent Management initiatives.
  • Act as the first point of contact for Talent Management queries, providing timely guidance and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Partner with managers and P&C colleagues to understand capability gaps and development needs, using this insight to advise on relevant learning interventions, PDP goals, and development pathways for individuals and teams.
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of firmwide learning programmes, including our Leadership Academy’s Management Development Programmes (MDP), onboarding and workshops and profiling activities.
  • Take ownership of learning event logistics, using your planning skills to manage events, set up virtual meetings, book venues, liaise with facilities, and organise everything from parking and materials to catering and follow-up resources.
  • Manage and deliver communications for learning events including joining instructions, pre-work, and course reminders, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.
  • Design engaging learning experiences, contributing to the design of blended learning materials (digital and instructor-led) and producing eye-catching promotional content and course materials using Canva to drive awareness and participation.
  • Own the day-to-day administration and support of our learning platforms, ensuring learning and attendance data is accurate, and platform usage and completion insights are monitored to identify issues and improvement opportunities that support informed decision-making.
  • Manage our compliance commitments e.g., monitor ACCA/ ICAEW portals to ensure student information is accurate and updated, support the co-ordination of technical training courses, monitor completion of regulatory training and professional qualifications to meet business needs.
  • Be comfortable managing training data and generating reports on attendance, completion rates, feedback scores, and learning hours using Excel and LMS tools, while supporting compliance tracking for qualifications and regulatory training.

About You

Working within this sociable and collaborative environment, you will have 1 to 2 years of L&D experience, preferably within a corporate or professional services environment. Already started or eager to begin the level 3 or 5 CIPD qualification (or similar L&D/HR qualification). Fully fluent in English and able to communicate accurately and confidently, via written, verbal and video call channels. Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and learning events simultaneously, using strong time management and prioritisation skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy skills. Confident and approachable when interacting with colleagues at all levels, including senior leaders. Able to build strong working relationships with trainers, learners, and external providers. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems or Digital Learning Tools. Proficient in MS Office/ 365 applications, specifically Excel and familiarity with virtual collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom) for scheduling events. Experience with digital design tools such as Canva for creating course materials and promotional assets. Proactive in ensuring a positive learner experience—from pre-course information to post-course feedback. Responsive and helpful in handling learning queries and providing guidance. An interest in progressing a career within Learning and Development. Emotionally intelligent with a real desire to contribute to the training and development of employees. Motivated by and interested in learning, inclusivity, behavioural psychology. Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team and self-motivated when working independently. Full UK Driving License and vehicle access is required as weekly same-day travel will be required.
