Fortis Academy are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Drama to join our vibrant and ambitious Performing Arts team on a fixed‑term contract from September. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Drama at both KS4 and KS5, including A‑Level Drama, within a large, well‑resourced academy that places creativity and the arts at the heart of its curriculum. Notably, we are proud to be one of the few local schools to offer A‑Level Drama, making this an excellent role for a specialist keen to teach post‑16 and develop high‑level performance and theatrical skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach Drama across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, including A‑Level Drama.
- Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons that inspire creativity, confidence, and academic success.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Drama and Performing Arts within the academy.
- Support and encourage students' participation in performances, productions, and enrichment activities.
- Collaborate within a large, supportive department and participate in the academy’s wider performing arts initiatives.
Qualifications
- Be a qualified teacher (or ECT) with a specialism in Drama.
- Have experience of, or a strong interest in, teaching A‑Level Drama.
- Be passionate about performance, theatre, and drama education.
- Possess high expectations of student achievement and behaviour.
- Be committed to inclusive practice and student wellbeing.
