Portland School have an exciting opportunity for an unqualified teacher to join the school to teach engaging and inspiring learning experiences in Creative & Media, including Art, Design and Photography, for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will use creative and practical approaches to develop pupils' artistic skills, confidence, self-expression, emotional wellbeing and aspirations within a supportive, therapeutic and trauma‑informed learning environment.
The postholder will spend approximately 50% of their allocated time teaching, with the remaining time dedicated to curriculum development, enrichment activities, intervention programmes, assessment, pastoral support, displays, exhibitions and contributing to the wider life of the school.
