Application Packaging & Deployment Engineer
Location: Remote UK - will need to travel occasionally for customer meetings
Clearance Requirement: UK Security Clearance (SC) – Mandatory
Role Purpose
The Application Packaging & Deployment Engineers will be responsible for packaging, testing, and deploying applications using SCCM and Intune. The role ensures software delivery is efficient, standardised, and compliant across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Package applications using Admi Studio, InstallShield, and PowerShell.
- Ensure consistency by maintaining package standards and naming conventions.
- Migrate legacy applications to MSIX or Intune deployment models.
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications via SCCM and Intune.
- Administer and maintain deployment infrastructure (collections, boundaries, distribution points).
- Manage application rollouts across pre-production and production environments.
- Produce clear documentation and share knowledge with internal teams.
- Contribute to change management and governance processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven background in application packaging (MSI, App-V, Intune).
- Strong expertise in SCCM (Current Branch).
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch).
- Solid understanding of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Hands-on experience with Intune, Autopilot, and Conditional Access.
Desirable Skills & Certifications
- Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MD-102).
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience working in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
