The Company: An exclusive private members sports club, situated in 100 acres of magnificent parkland. London's leading sporting facilities club. Constantly evolving. In recent years the club has won a number of accolades and awards.
Pay & Details: £39,710 basic salary + bonus. Excellent work/life balance. Hours will be 45 a week with 28 days holidays (bank holidays included), 2 additional life leave days per annum. Shifts include 2 early shifts and 3 late shifts depending on the operation, with hours from 7am-4:30pm or 11:30am-7:30pm or 10pm (Sunday closes at 7pm). Average working 2 in 4 weekends. Overtime paid at the rate of time and a half. Ongoing training and development. Generous company pension. Many other fantastic benefits.
About the role: The successful pastry chef will have the opportunity to be creative and plan and budget all of the pastry menus. A senior pastry chef - working alone as the sole pastry chef with support from a team of 11 chefs and the head chef as and when required. As the pastry chef, you will be running all of the pastry section whilst reporting into the head chef. This is a great opportunity for a talented and ambitious pastry chef to join this outstanding and prestigious private club.
As a person, you will ideally be engaging, personable and able to build relationships easily. A pastry chef who has some experience of à la carte or fine dining restaurants, bistros, summer BBQs and ad hoc events. Pride yourself on presentations and flavours as well as offering fresh locally sourced ingredients and being creative & engaging.
