Operational activities include transport, manufacturing and distribution of products, and the treatment of healthcare waste.
We’re now hiring a Multi-Skilled technician, on a part time basis, to support our Normanton Facility. With repairs and regular routine maintenance to carry out, the working days are busy but varied and critical to ensure our machines can operate to capacity so we can continue to manage waste treatment for the UK’s healthcare industry. This role will be 27 hours per week, across 3 days, with some flexibility required at weekends for planned maintenance.
The plant equipment includes:
- Hydraulics
- Waste Shredders
- Steam boiler & associated equipment
- Autoclaves
- Bin Washer
- Waste compactors
- Robotic container wash lines
What will your role involve?
- Diagnosis of faults or equipment failure
- Completion of scheduled maintenance tasks
- Working on 3ph electrics and controls and / or PLC & control systems, control circuits or similar.
- 24v, 110v, 240v, 415v systems also AC and DC circuits
- Coordination of external contractors
- Maintaining a stock of critical spares
- Providing out of hours support
What are we looking for?
- Time served Apprentice electrical Maintenance tech/engineer
- Previous experience within a Service Engineer, Installation Engineer, Electro Mechanical Engineer or similar roles.
- An engineering qualification, 18th edition, C&G 2391 or similar electrical qualifications.
- Occasionally travel throughout the UK if required.
