As a Plant Team Leader you will supervise a diverse and talented operations team. Your primary goal is to organise staff members and maintain a smooth workflow throughout the day while supporting the Plant Supervisor in performance management, training and production assistance on your shift.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the production team and support the Plant Supervisor with personnel involvement in HR aspects, policies and procedures.
- Ensure completion of all relevant paperwork including data capture sheets.
- Perform routine compliance regulatory checks and spot checks to capture nonāconformities.
- Support the Plant Supervisor to conduct regular quality assurance training to staff in line with metrics.
- Create and offer solutions to troubleshoot and resolve operational inefficiencies.
- Monitor treatment equipment and report performance to the Plant Supervisor and onsite Maintenance Engineer.
- Use the MaintainX system to record daily machinery performance checks.
- Complete the daily metric huddle meeting and communicate production targets to the team.
- Manage onsite stock levels.
- Lead lowālevel employee relations casework.
- Motivate and maintain a productive, professional, and customerāservice oriented team.
- Enforce compliance with necessary safety procedures (weekly training of workplace, health and safety).
- Maintain a positive and safe working environment by keeping machinery, cleanliness of workstations, plant floor, and operating areas free of clutter, debris or other hazards.
Qualifications
- Leadership experience or comparable experience.
- Experience working within a technical environment is desirable.
- Proven experience in improving processes and procedures.
- Works well with others and can motivate people you work with.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal with recordākeeping discipline.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays or flex hours as needed by production demands.
Working Hours
4 on 4 off, days only ā 7amā7pm.
