At Sharps Furniture Group, home to Sharps, Fittingly and Clever Closet, we've been transforming homes with beautifully crafted fitted furniture for over 50 years. As we continue to grow, we're looking for experienced Area Sales Managers to join our Sharps brand.

Leading the performance, coaching and motivating c. 30 self-employed designers across a defined territory, this is a role accountable for delivering profitable revenue growth, improving conversion, protecting margin and ensuring exceptional customer experience. This is a field-based, hands-on, lifestyle sales leadership role and therefore requires some weekend and evening availability to support designers, offering design advice and commercial guidance.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Driving sales performance and delivering profitable revenue growth
  • Driving improvements across sales and conversion KPIs
  • Coaching and motivating your team using clear performance plans via regular field visits and one to ones
  • Recruiting and onboarding high quality designers to maintain optimal area coverage
  • Monitoring KPIs and using performance data to identify growth opportunities
  • Running disciplined weekly, monthly and quarterly performance rhythms
  • Championing an exceptional customer experience and resolving customer issues
  • Understanding and developing local market dynamics, customer activity and opportunity

About You:

You’ll be a proven sales leader with a passion for developing people and delivering results. You’ll bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ sales experience with a strong track record of delivering results
  • Proven experience in a field-based sales management role, leading geographically dispersed teams
  • Background in direct to customer (D2C) sales, ideally within furniture, interiors, home improvements or premium consumer goods
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills with hands‑on motivational energy
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical capability and confidence using data to drive decisions
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills
  • A proactive approach, resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across your area and the UK
  • Comfortable working in a lifestyle based role with evening and weekend availability
