Were currently recruiting for the UK and Irelands leading wholesale supplier of fasteners, fixings , and associated products to the distributor and merchant trade . Offering more than 30,000 product lines, they are also the largest stockholder in the industry. They are looking for a Merchandiser. The role of a merchandiser requires strong commitment, enthusiasm and drive as well as a thorough customer focused approach to effectively support the rollout and effective merchandising initiatives to increase sales across merchants and distributor networks. Key Responsibilities of a Merchandiser: Full responsibility for merchandising all customers (current and new) Update customers with brochures, promotions, new ranges and keep all point of sales clean & today. Support brand rollout and initiatives to increase merchant sales. Maintain and update detailed call plan and replenish stock on a 6-8 week cycle. Carry out one to one training as required by merchant. Support the Area Sales Managers. Support other regional initiatives. Aid in the building of professional relationships with merchant partners. Feedback to Manager on market trends/changes or merchant comments. Key Skills of a Merchandiser: This role requires commitment, enthusiasm and drive as well as a thorough customer focussed approach. This is all about driving sales through the delivery of effective merchandising initiatives across merchants and distributor networks. The individuals will need to demonstrate a good level of visual awareness and be capable of communicating at all levels. This is a field-based role which will require considerable travel and potentially some overnight stays. This role is ideally suited to candidates with a merchant background who are looking to take the steps into external sales. The Merchandiser role will give you experience of working on the road, managing your own diary, and creating relationships with Merchants. You must have a full drivers license. Remuneration package: Base salary is negotiable depending on experience. Profit share scheme.
