Sharper is working with our local authority client in the South West.

They need an experienced Officer to join their Environmental Protection team and take ownership of a live statutory nuisance and noise caseload.

Minimal hand-holding, maximum autonomy.

What you ll be doing: * Managing your own statutory nuisance caseload * Noise investigation, monitoring and acoustics assessment * Evidence gathering and case preparation for enforcement action * Proportionate, confident regulatory decision-making What you ll need: * Strong local authority EP background * Practical, hands-on EPA 1990 experience * A CIEH-accredited qualification (preferred) * The confidence to work independently from day one What you ll get: * 6 months, up to 37 hrs/week * 3 days/week on site * Mileage reimbursed * Rate: Inside IR35 42- 50 per hour - depending on experience * Starting ASAP...
