Sharper Consulting Services is looking on behalf of our client in the Scottish Lowlands for an EHO working in the commercial food & safety team on a short-term contract basis. Expected contract length is 6-12 weeks (Part time or Full time).
You will be experienced in carrying out food safety and food standards inspections, responding to complaints and enquiries. In addition, you will carry out infectious disease & health and safety investigations and intervention work.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Demonstrate substantial experience in conducting food inspections on behalf of a local authority.
- Maintain a fully up-to-date competency matrix and engage in continuous professional development (CPD) to stay abreast of the latest developments in food safety regulations and practices.
- Hold either a BSc/MSc in Environmental Health with REHIS/EHORB (or equivalent) registration.
- Proven experience in the field of environmental health, specifically in food safety inspections.
- Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and regulations governing food safety.
