Sharpe Pritchard is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our friendly and ambitious law firm. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of the firm’s marketing and business development activity. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Marketing Executive, providing hands‑on marketing support alongside organisational and diary coordination assistance. The role combines practical marketing delivery with executive‑level support, ensuring the smooth running of a busy and growing department.

This position would suit someone with around two years’ marketing experience, ideally within legal or professional services, who is highly organised, detail‑focused and keen to develop their technical marketing skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Marketing Delivery
    • Support the delivery of the firm’s marketing and communications plans
    • Assist with LinkedIn content scheduling and monitoring
    • Support the preparation of awards and directory submissions
    • Assist in producing marketing materials and branded collateral
    • Maintain and update marketing contact lists in line with GDPR requirements
    • Conduct client and market research as required
    • Take ownership of the marketing inbox and ensure timely responses
    • Assist in managing the stock levels of all marketing resources
    • Support the recording, editing, promotion, and launch of our podcasts
  • Campaign and Event Support
    • Support the planning and delivery of webinars, seminars and firm events
    • Coordinate event communications including invitations and follow‑up email campaigns
    • Assist with event logistics and materials where required
    • To attend events where necessary
    • Support post‑event reporting and follow‑up activity
  • Department and Executive Support
    • Provide diary coordination and scheduling support to the Director of Marketing
    • Coordinate internal marketing meetings, agendas and follow‑up actions
    • Assist in forward planning and time management across key projects and campaigns
    • Maintain and update the events calendar
    • Track campaign deadlines and ensure timely delivery of tasks
    • Liaise with external agencies and suppliers where required
    • Support the team in organising workflows via project management systems such as Monday
  • Brand and Recruitment Marketing
    • Assist HR with recruitment marketing initiatives
    • Support the firm’s employer brand positioning across digital channels
    • Help maintain brand consistency across materials and communications
Required Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • 1 to 2 years’ marketing experience
  • Experience working in professional services, ideally legal
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Mailchimp
  • Experience managing LinkedIn content
Highly Desirable
  • Experience using WordPress
  • Experience using Canva or design software such as InDesign
  • Experience using project management tools such as Monday
  • Marketing degree or CIM qualification
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable supporting senior stakeholders with diary and meeting coordination
  • Tech confident and curious about learning new software tools
  • Proactive and solution focused
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
