Summary:We are seeking a Multi-skilled Engineer to join our dynamic team in Aylesham, South East CT3. This permanent, full-time position is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our engineering systems. This is a hands-on role requiring both electrical and mechanical expertise, with a strong focus on reliability, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis.Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventive maintenance to ensure maximum machine uptime Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns and minimise production disruption Diagnose faults using both electrical and mechanical root cause analysis techniques Support installation and maintenance of electrical systems (up to 400V), PLCs, and control circuits Contribute to continuous improvement and equipment optimisation projects Assist in developing risk assessments, SOPs, and maintenance schedules Build strong working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors Ensure all safety risks and breakdowns are addressed promptlyWhat we're looking for: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering with strong electrical and mechanical experience Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment Knowledge of PLCs and variable speed drives Proven ability to carry out root cause analysis and technical problem-solving Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive improvements
