We are seeking a Multi-skilled Engineer to join our dynamic team in Aylesham, South East CT3. This permanent, full-time position is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our engineering systems. This is a hands-on role requiring both electrical and mechanical expertise, with a strong focus on reliability, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance to ensure maximum machine uptime
  • Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns and minimise production disruption
  • Diagnose faults using both electrical and mechanical root cause analysis techniques
  • Support installation and maintenance of electrical systems (up to 400V), PLCs, and control circuits
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and equipment optimisation projects
  • Assist in developing risk assessments, SOPs, and maintenance schedules
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors
  • Ensure all safety risks and breakdowns are addressed promptly

What we’re looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering with strong electrical and mechanical experience
  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of PLCs and variable speed drives
  • Proven ability to carry out root cause analysis and technical problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive improvements
