The Company Sharpak Aylesham is a manufacturer of thermoformed plastic packaging for use in the Fresh Produce and Food Service divisions. Established in 1968, the site has significantly grown in recent years and aims to be the first choice for rigid plastic packaging solutions through our reliability, efficiency, and innovation as a manufacturer of sustainable packaging on a local and global platform.

Role Purpose: As part of the Packing Desk team, the aim of the role is to support a smooth, efficient and high quality service as the link between the Production and Despatch departments. The role holder is required to undertake a range of general warehousing duties and follow company procedures, working to a high standard of health and safety, to ensure the product is sent to customers in a professional and safe way.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract August 2026 to End of October 2026

Shifts Available: 10pm- 6am (12.71 per hour + enhanced shift allowance for nights)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stack pallets with boxes from the packing belt, ensuring that the products are consistent on each pallet, and stacked safely;
  • Check box quality on full pallets, and wrap correctly to ensure safe transportation through the warehouse and to the customer;
  • Responsible for checking and adhering the correct pallet labels to the appropriate pallet and double-checking the work of others;
  • Safe operation of Powered Pallet Truck.
