New opportunity for a Production Print Colour Systems Consultant to join Sharpās technical support team.
The role involves:
Working to industry best practice, to provide internal and external training and technical support for our production print colour systems. Responding to incidents and end user support and training requests. This will involve triage, analysis and resolution of all incidents and problems in relation to production print hardware, Fiery products and associated software raised by end users, dealers and service technicians via telephone, remote access, and face to face support. Assisting with and advising on, the installation of our production print systems and software solutions within the Sharp direct and indirect channels.
Assisting our dealer and direct sales teams with product demonstrations and working with customers to achieve the best product performance, accurate colour management and efficient document workflow.
Working closely with Sharpās Marketing team and assist with product specification when bringing new product to market.

Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for production print support, providing incident, problem and service request resolution for hardware, core applications and supported systems
- Operating to defined service levels use service management systems to log, update and monitor the progress of incidents, major incidents, and problems
- Participate and/or lead in the skilling up of the Service Departmentās production print engineers
- Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting when appropriate
- Liaise with third party suppliers to build a full support mechanism for all supplied solutions
- Perform postāresolution follow ups with users to ensure satisfactory completion of requests
- Assist the marketing and pre-sales teams to support production print solutions in our showroom environment
- Work closely with the product manager and pre-sales team when bringing new products to market, including review of documentation, product evaluation, support processes including SLAs
- Evaluate documented resolutions and analyse trends for ways to prevent future problems
- Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources on the Internet/Intranet to aid in problem resolution
- Ensure that a professional, customer focused approach is always adopted
- Flexible in supporting all service delivery requirements which may include evenings and weekends,
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the production print, products and trends, especially EFI products and solutions
- Demonstrable technical problem-solving skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of reprographic workflows, Adobe Graphic Arts and EFI colour management tools
- Effective oral and written communication skills on both technical and non-technical issues
- Capable of building relationships with resellers, internal and external customers
- A flexible approach is essential due to the mixed elements of the role
- Ability to plan and organise self effectively
- An analytical problem-solving approach to difficult and complex problems
- Willing to travel throughout the UK to both customers, dealers and Sharp Business Systems UK offices
- May be required to travel overseas occasionally.
