We have an excellent opportunity for a Photocopier Engineer to join work on site at the University of Bath, one of our Sharp’s key customers. As a Photocopier Engineer, you will be the face of Sharp Business Systems, providing a first-class service to the University – managing, maintaining and repairing c300 multi-function devices and software across the university sites.
Our engineers work sociable hours (Monday – Friday, office hours). You will be located in the Bath area or within commutable distance – a company car is provided.
Key Responsibilities- Repair, install and maintain multi-functional network devices (MFD’s) and other products including software, supplied by Sharp Business Systems UK and dealers.
- Prepare and set up MFD’s/Products associated with SHARP portfolio.
- Connect equipment to customers PC’s and networks by installing print drivers on servers and local PC’s. Set up scanning and other functionality over the network.
- Diagnose and resolve network MFD related issues.
- Provide relevant training on both hardware and software.
- Provide support and cover when necessary for other roles.
- Adhere to company processes including managing stock on vehicles/site as appropriate.
- Experience as a Photocopier Engineer.
- Experience with Sharp copiers is helpful but not essential.
- Good understanding of networking issues and how to resolve them.
- Competent in the use of PCs, laptops, and tablets.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products: Word and Excel.
- Ability to understand and use bespoke software.
- Knowledge of Papercut is advantageous.
- Industry recognised or other technical qualifications within the print sector are helpful.
- Analytical problem-solving approach to electromechanical faults.
- Valid driving license (Class B car etc.).
