About the Role: As a Technical Consultant, you'll be the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, offering expert advice and strategic direction to elevate their IT systems. You’ll be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring their infrastructure is secure, future-proofed, and aligned with their business goals. A significant part of your role will involve writing comprehensive project proposals and detailed project plans that lay the foundation for successful IT transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted IT advisor, helping clients develop tailored, long-term IT strategies.
- Provide on-site technical support while managing complex escalations.
- Identify areas for infrastructure enhancements and ensure clients stay ahead of the technological curve.
- Lead and execute innovative IT projects, from planning through to delivery, including drafting detailed project plans outlining objectives, timelines, resources, and key milestones.
- Write and present comprehensive client-facing proposals, aligning business needs with actionable IT solutions, including technical assessments, budgets, and implementation timelines.
- Document solutions, processes, and client-specific technical details for ongoing support.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to guarantee a seamless and exceptional client experience, ensuring that all proposals and project plans meet both client expectations and internal capabilities.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 1 year in an IT consultancy role, with 3+ years in IT support.
- In-depth experience with Microsoft 365; knowledge of Azure is an added advantage.
- Strong expertise in server management, networking, firewalls, security, and disaster recovery.
- Proven experience in drafting project proposals, technical reports, and detailed project plans.
- Eagerness to pursue professional development, particularly in Microsoft certifications (Associate level or higher).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with an ability to think creatively.
- Familiarity with GDPR and data protection regulations in the UK.
