I'm looking for a Senior Researcher to step into Talent Researcher / People Analytics & Talent Intelligence Professional role.
This role sits in an Internal Executive Search function | Global Media Group | London, 3 days a week in the office | £100,000 base + bonus
A Global Media Group is hiring for its Internal TA Executive Search function, which focuses on Senior Appointments and C-suite hires. The role works directly with the Head of Talent Acquisition.
It combines three disciplines in one position: talent research, people analytics and talent intelligence. Candidates need experience across all three.
The work is proactive, not reactive. It centers on market intelligence and talent mapping: identifying senior talent before a vacancy is live, building an internal pipeline for critical capabilities, and reducing the group’s reliance on external search firms.
Responsibilities
- Market intelligence: act as the subject matter expert on the talent landscape, monitoring industry trends, competitor news, and M&A activity to anticipate talent movement.
- Talent mapping: map competitor organisations and adjacent industries, breaking down team structures and identifying key people within target departments.
- Long listing: build long lists for niche and critical roles, with a diverse pool of “ready now” and “ready later” candidates.
- Competitor analysis: examine how competitors are structured, where senior talent is moving and why, and give the TA team and business leaders insight they can act on.
- Cost reduction: target roles previously outsourced to agencies and show the return on bringing headhunting capability in-house.
Experience required
- Experience across talent research, people analytics and talent intelligence, ideally from an executive search firm or an internal talent function, but not essential.
- Strong experience as a Research and Insights Analyst desired.
- Expertise in talent mapping and market mapping.
- Advanced use of LinkedIn Recruiter and market intelligence tools.
- Ability to turn complex data and organisation charts into simple, visual reports for stakeholders.
- An interest in headhunting and engaging passive senior talent.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with ideas to improve research and sourcing.
- Strong communication, internally and with external talent.
- Experience of Greenhouse and Workday is desirable.
