This is a senior, high‑impact role combining European HR transformation with hands‑on HR operational leadership, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver Sharp’s people agenda across multiple European regions.
The Role
Reporting to the European HR Director, you will act as a trusted deputy and senior operational leader, driving consistent HR delivery across Europe while leading the HR function for Sharp’s European HQ. The role is intentionally split 50/50 between European transformation initiatives and HQ HR leadership, requiring strong stakeholder influence, analytical rigour, and delivery discipline within a complex, international matrix environment. You will play a pivotal role in embedding Sharp’s new European People Plan, supporting major transformation programmes, and ensuring HR operations are robust, future‑ready, and aligned across countries.
What You’ll Do

- Support the design, launch, and implementation of Sharp’s new European People Plan
- Play a key role in embedding the European People Sustainability / ESG agenda
- Lead the rollout of a new Job Evaluation framework in line with EU Pay Transparency Directives
- Strengthen Sharp’s European talent pipeline through RPO partnerships, early careers, and L&D initiatives
- Coordinate European HR cycles, including senior leadership salary reviews and bonus processes
- Provide executive‑ready, data‑driven insights to support board‑level and senior leadership decision‑making
- Build strong, trusted relationships with Country HR leaders across Europe, influencing without direct authority
- Deputise for the European HR Director as required, representing HR in senior forums
- Hold full accountability for end‑to‑end HR delivery for the European HQ population (~80 employees)
- Lead, develop, and manage the HQ HR team, ensuring strong prioritisation and operational excellence
- Act as escalation point for complex, sensitive, or high‑risk people matters
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in senior HR operations and transformation roles within a European or international environment
- Strong background in HR change, integration, or transformation programmes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across cultures and geographies
- Strong analytical capability, with confidence producing executive‑level insights, dashboards, and presentations
- Solid understanding of reward processes, including salary reviews and bonus frameworks
- Advanced PowerPoint skills and executive communication capability
- A resilient, adaptable leadership style with a strong delivery mindset
- Cultural awareness and the ability to operate effectively in both European and Japanese-influenced corporate environments
- CIPD Level 7 (Chartered Member or Fellow preferred)
- Degree‑level education or equivalent professional experience
- Fluency in English is essential; additional European language skills (French or German preferred)
