At Sharp Business Systems (SBS) UK, we’re looking for an Account Manager to join our Sales & Commercial team and play a key role in growing and developing our Core Portfolio client base.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven Account Manager who enjoys building relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting organisations to get more value from technology - with a clear pathway toward managing higher‑value Core accounts.
What You’ll Do- Manage and develop a portfolio of small to mid‑sized client accounts with strong growth potential
- Build trusted, long‑term relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as their primary commercial contact
- Proactively identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities across IT services, managed services, and technology solutions
- Host regular account reviews and planning sessions, involving internal specialists where appropriate
- Guide clients on their digital and technology roadmap, recommending solutions aligned to their business needs
- Prepare accurate quotations, manage opportunities through the sales cycle, and convert pipeline into revenue
- Onboard new clients and ensure a smooth handover into BAU account management
- Maintain accurate forecasts and reporting to support wider commercial planning
- Share market insights, account intelligence, and regional knowledge with the wider sales team
- Work closely with internal teams, partners, and vendors to stay up to date with technology trends and accreditations
- A minimum of approx. 3-5 years' B2B Sales experience in both Account Management & Business Development, building and managing strong client relationships across an SMB segment - ideally in IT/Technology within an MSP environment
- A highly consultative commercial mindset with the ambition to grow and succeed in a fast-paced IT Sales environment
- Solid exposure to IT products & services, including Systems, Servers, Cloud, Cyber, SaaS, CRM, ERP & BizApps
- Confidence communicating and negotiating with a wide range of stakeholders up to C-level, including technical and non‑technical audiences
- A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
- Resilience and drive to meet and exceed sales targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including phone‑based client engagement
- The ability to adapt quickly, reprioritise effectively, and solve problems creatively
- A collaborative and approachable attitude, supporting colleagues and wider team success
