Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing group business based in Worksop, who are looking to appoint a Group Accountant to support the continued development of their finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to take ownership of group reporting while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts
- Group reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting
- Statutory accounts preparation and liaison with external auditors
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Assisting with system and process improvements across the finance function
- Providing financial insight and analysis to support commercial decision-making
Qualifications
- This role would suit a qualified or finalist accountant (ACA / ACCA) with strong technical and analytical skills.
- You will ideally have proven experience in a group or multi-entity environment.
- Strong knowledge of statutory reporting and consolidations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders.
