Sharp Consultancy are pleased to be working with a growing Manufacturer based in the Thorne area, looking to appoint a Senior Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Following a period of sustained growth, our client are now looking to appoint a talented individual who can influence strategic decision making whilst demonstrating clear hands-on capability across accounts and operational efficiency. This is a role with autonomy at its centre, reporting directly to the board. You will produce and present business insights and management information that will directly influence business performance and future growth. You will report into an experienced Finance Leader and oversee a handful of direct reports. Individuals best suited to this role will be Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a strong management accounting background and the skills to business partner with operational staff of varying levels of seniority.
What’s on offer:
- Salary between £55,000 - £60,000
- 1-day WFH
- 25 days AL + 8 BH
- Christmas Shutdown
Duties and responsibilities:
- Full production of the Management Accounts pack, including balance sheet reconciliations, KPI analysis, and commentary.
- Act as a strategic business partner with department heads and production teams.
- Leading budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ownership of cash management including cash flow, forecasting, and banking processes.
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register including the posting of depreciation.
- Review the continuous improvement of financial processes to enhance accuracy and timeliness of information delivery.
- Monitor and analyse external trends to inform board-level decision-making.
- Support the development of the finance team – overseeing workload, objective setting and annual appraisals.
