Our client, a leading service provider based in Sheffield, is seeking a talented and ambitious Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of month-end and year-end reporting, including the preparation of statutory accounts and forecasts, while driving improvements to existing reporting processes. This is a hands-on role offering full responsibility for financial reporting and the opportunity to influence and enhance the business’s financial controls and systems. This opportunity is ideal for those ready to make their first move from practice into a supportive, structured business environment, as well as experienced industry professionals seeking a fresh challenge within a modern and forward-thinking organisation.
Benefits to include:
- Salary between £50,000 - £55,000

Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Full production of statutory accounts in accordance with relevant accounting principles and legislation
- Support the delivery of month-end reporting, streamlining processes where necessary
- Management of cashflow processes to ensure operational objectives are met
- Production of annual budgets and business plans
- Creation of monthly forecast and responsibility for quarterly reforecasting process – reporting on variances for board members and other senior stakeholders
- Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts including review of journal and GL balances
- Work closely with senior leaders to provide financial insight
