Duties/responsibilities
- Supporting lead advisers throughout buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions.
- Preparing high-quality client presentations, transaction documentation and marketing materials.
- Undertaking detailed market and acquisition research to identify suitable targets and strategic buyers.
- Carrying out financial and commercial analysis to support transaction activity.
- Assisting with valuations, financial modelling and deal execution.
- Liaising with clients, legal advisers, funders and other professional stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
- Building working relationships with entrepreneurial businesses across a range of sectors.
Who you are
- Previous Corporate Finance experience gained within an accountancy practice or specialist advisory firm.
- Experience preparing Investment Memorandums.
- Experience researching acquisition opportunities and identifying potential buyers or targets.
- Exposure to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), ideally across both acquisitions and disposals.
- Excellent financial analysis and report writing skills.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to work directly with clients and stakeholders.
- ACA or ACCA qualified
