The business is now looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to manage the day-to-day credit control function, helping to maintain healthy cash flow and positive customer relationships. The Role
- Manage the day-to-day credit control function, ensuring customer accounts are maintained effectively.
- Proactively chase outstanding debt and overdue invoices to help maintain healthy cash flow.
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with customers to encourage timely payments.
- Monitor customer accounts and payment terms, identifying potential issues.
- Investigate and resolve invoice queries and payment discrepancies promptly.
- Work closely with internal departments to resolve queries and ensure a smooth payment process.
- Maintain accurate customer records and provide updates on outstanding debt where required.
- Support the wider finance team with additional duties as needed.
- Contribute to the efficiency of the finance function through a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
About You
- Previous experience in a credit control role is essential.
- Professional and effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with customers at all levels.
- Comfortable managing challenging payment conversations while maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Organised, proactive and able to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Good attention to detail, with sound numerical and administrative skills.
- Able to investigate queries, resolve issues and identify practical solutions.
- A collaborative approach, with a willingness to support colleagues across the finance function.
