Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a leading Yorkshire accountancy practice and recognised UK Top 100 firm in their search for an experienced Payroll Senior. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of weekly and monthly payrolls across a diverse client base. You will act as an advisor, adding value through market and legislation knowledge specifically surrounding pension but also as a wider payroll specialist. This is an ideal opportunity for a personable and technically proficient payroll specialist with prior experience in a bureau environment. If you are looking to develop your career in a well established and reputable practice firm in Yorkshire, then this role is for you.
Duties/responsibilities:
- Manage your own portfolio of payroll clients from start to finish
- Setting up new payroll clients
- Manage BACs payments for clients
- Dealing with employee enquiries relating to payroll
- Assist with training and development of junior payroll team members
- Liaising with HM Revenue Customs
- Dealing with ad hoc queries
Who you are:
- Previous bureau payroll experience
- CIPP Qualified or actively studying
- Good attention to detail
- Experience using BrightPay
- Willingness to learn and good communication skills
