We’re delighted to be working with a fast-growing and highly regarded Accountancy Practice in Leeds that’s looking to appoint an experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to strengthen its expanding Corporate Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious audit professional who wants exposure to a broad and varied client portfolio, genuine responsibility from planning through to completion, and the chance to mentor and develop junior team members while delivering high-quality audit work.
Working closely with Assistant Managers, Managers, and the Head of Audit you’ll play a key role in both client delivery and team development within a collaborative and supportive environment.
As Audit and Accounts Senior, you will:
- Lead on-site audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Execute audit procedures in line with agreed plans, budgets, and deadlines
- Ensure consistently high audit quality and full compliance with auditing standards
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior team members, providing constructive feedback
- Prepare audit findings reports, clearly identifying key risks and issues
- Build strong client relationships and act as a key on-site point of contact
What you’ll need:
- ACA / ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong audit and accounts experience gained within practice
- A solid understanding of audit quality, risk, and regulatory standards
- Confidence in client-facing situations with excellent communication skills
- Experience supervising and supporting junior staff
- Up-to-date knowledge of FRS and IFRS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with CaseWare and CCH (beneficial, but not essential)
