This is an excellent opportunity within a dynamic and growing business for a CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part-Qualified Assistant Treasury Accountant to join a well-established finance team. As the Assistant Treasury Accountant, you will report directly to the Treasury Manager and play a key role in supporting the treasury function through the delivery of accurate cash reporting, treasury analysis, and banking administration to support effective financial management across the organisation.

Main responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with daily cash management activities and monitoring company bank balances
  • Preparing and maintaining short-term cash flow forecasts and liquidity reporting
  • Processing bank payments, transfers, and treasury-related transactions accurately and within deadlines
  • Performing bank reconciliations and investigating any variances or discrepancies identified
  • Supporting the management of banking relationships and responding to banking queries
  • Assisting with foreign currency transactions and monitoring exchange rate exposure
  • Supporting month-end and year-end treasury accounting processes, including journals and reconciliations
  • Preparing treasury reports and supporting analysis for senior finance stakeholders
  • Assisting with working capital reporting and cash performance analysis
  • Maintaining accurate treasury records and ensuring compliance with internal controls and company procedures
  • Supporting debt, loan, and interest reporting activities where required
  • Assisting with the administration and maintenance of banking platforms and treasury systems
  • Identifying opportunities to improve treasury processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
  • Supporting audit requests by providing treasury-related documentation and analysis
  • Providing ad hoc support to the wider finance and treasury teams as required

As you progress within the business, there will be genuine opportunities for career development and progression. This role will provide broad exposure across treasury and finance activities and offer valuable hands-on experience within a commercially focused finance environment.

Ideally, you will either be studying towards or looking to begin CIMA/ACCA, with previous experience within Treasury, Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Cash Management, or Financial Accounts roles, and be looking to further develop your treasury, accounting, and analytical skills.
