A highly successful engineering business based in York seeks an experienced Finance Manager to cover a maternity leave for the next 12 months, starting end Sept / early Oct 2025.
Responsibilities
- To assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts to strict deadlines, ensuring Balance Sheet Accounts are reconciled each month, taking corrective action to guarantee timeliness and accuracy of information.
- To assist in the preparation of monthly profit and cash flow forecasts.
- To assist in influencing decisions affecting cash flow and profitability of the business.
- To acquire and display a good understanding of the business and to provide management information to support the Division.
- To assist with ensuring that the systems of control and reporting provide relevant, timely and accurate management information and be involved in cross company initiatives where required.
- To aid the annual budget process for the Division ensuring reports are completed and deadlines met and a thorough budget is prepared.
- To assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial accounts and support the annual audit process where necessary.
Requirements
- To be considered, you will ideally be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified but someone who is qualified by experience but has the relevant experience may also be considered.
- Some remote working is available but ideally this role will be worked on site in York.
