In your role as Commercial Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Controller and develop a strong understanding of the organisation’s commercial operations, key financial drivers, and overall business performance.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing monthly financial and commercial performance reports, including detailed commentary and analysis
- Supporting the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across multiple business areas
- Analysing revenue, margins, and operational costs to identify trends and opportunities for improved performance
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating/resolving financial variances
- Managing accruals, prepayments, and other month-end accounting adjustments
- Providing financial insight and performance analysis to senior stakeholders and operational teams
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data, reporting models, and internal controls
- Assisting with internal and external audits, including the preparation of supporting schedules and documentation
- Producing ad hoc commercial analysis, financial reporting, and recommendations to support cost control and process improvements
- Partnering with operational and departmental managers to provide financial guidance and support business decision-making

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with proven experience operating within a Commercial Accountant or Management Accountant position.
