We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team on a 10‑month fixed‑term contract, providing maternity leave and holiday cover. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least one year's Accounts Payable experience who is keen to expand their finance skills within a supportive and collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices with accuracy and efficiency
- Matching invoices against purchase orders and investigating any discrepancies
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Responding to supplier queries and building strong working relationships
- Preparing payment runs and ensuring all payments are processed within deadlines
- Supporting month‑end Accounts Payable activities
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks when required
To be successful in this role, you'll have
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable position
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
- A positive, proactive approach to your work
