A rapidly growing and highly successful retail group is seeking a qualified Senior Finance Business Partner to join its finance function based in newly acquired Leeds offices.
Operating across the UK and Europe, the business has recently secured significant external investment to support its ambitious expansion plans, creating an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to play a key role in shaping the next stage of growth.
Working closely with both the Finance Director and Sales Director, you will act as a true business partner, helping to bridge the gap between finance and operational teams.
This is a highly visible position that will provide exposure to senior leadership, strategic decision-making, and external stakeholders, allowing you to make a genuine impact on business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, providing detailed analysis and insightful commentary on financial and operational performance.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across the group to present financial results, budgets, forecasts, and business performance updates.
- Deliver meaningful commercial insight and narrative to support strategic decision-making and future growth initiatives.
- Review and enhance existing reporting and account production processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and commercial understanding across the business.
- Produce key financial reports and performance information for external investors and senior leadership teams.
- Challenge and support operational teams, helping drive profitability and informed decision-making throughout the organisation.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of financial reporting, controls, and business partnering activities as the company continues to expand.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally possess
- Full professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
- Previous experience within a Finance Business Partner, Senior Commercial Accountant, Finance Manager or similar commercially focused finance role.
- A proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across both finance and non-finance functions.
- Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to challenge, support and add value to business decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insight.
