Job Description

A dynamic and forward-thinking group of businesses are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically astute finance professional to step into a pivotal role within a growing and innovative organisation.

You’ll be reporting directly to the CFO and leading a capable finance team, ensuring robust financial control and high-quality reporting across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all company accounts, investments, and financial operations
  • Lead and motivate the finance team
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
  • Ensure accurate recording, filing, and reporting of financial transactions
  • Implement and maintain strong financial reporting systems
  • Collaborate with auditors
  • Analyse financial reports and data to identify discrepancies and trends
  • Produce monthly and annual reports, forecasts, and insights for senior leadership
  • Manage cash flow and internal reporting
  • Maintain a strong control framework across finance and the wider business

Candidate Profile:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified professional
  • Experience working within a PE-backed environment is essential
  • A strong technical accounting knowledge and experience is required
  • Proven experience in financial leadership roles
