Overview
I am working on behalf of a successful and forward-thinking manufacturing business based in the Hull area, who are looking to recruit a Graduate Finance Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to begin a career in finance, gaining hands-on experience in a busy accounts function and developing strong transactional finance skills.
Responsibilities
- Processing purchase invoices and matching to purchase orders
- Assisting with sales invoicing and credit notes
- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and data entry
- Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
- Providing general administrative support to the finance team
Qualifications
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent)
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
- A methodical and organised approach to work
- Good IT skills, particularly Excel
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
